Voice & Verdict Publishing and Printing

Voice & Verdict Publishing is the publishing and print media arm connected to the broader RISS ecosystem.

This operation is intentionally designed as both a workforce development initiative and a professional print and media production operation.

The publishing division will support:

  • In-house publication production

  • Book printing and binding

  • Educational materials

  • Training materials

  • Print media production

  • Community publications

  • Creative writing projects

  • Artwork and visual media

  • Public-facing publications

  • Third-party printing services

The operation is also intended to create opportunities for residents to gain exposure to:

  • Print production systems

  • Layout and formatting

  • Publication workflows

  • Graphic production

  • Binding and finishing

  • Inventory management

  • Shipping and fulfillment

  • Creative collaboration

  • Writing and editing environments

  • Small-scale publishing operations

Voice & Verdict Publishing will also help support publication opportunities for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated writers and artists.

The goal is not simply printing.

It is expression.

Documentation.

Storytelling.

Communication.

And creating legitimate platforms for voices that are often ignored, reduced, or spoken about rather than listened to directly.

The print production operation itself is intentionally structured as a real working environment with real production expectations, deadlines, quality standards, and customer interaction.
