The liquidation pallet warehouse operations at RISS are intended to provide residents with exposure to inventory systems, logistics, warehouse operations, retail processing, online sales systems, and small-business operations.

The operation is expected to launch either concurrent with campus opening or shortly afterward.

The warehouse operation will involve purchasing and processing liquidation pallets and surplus inventory.

Residents participating in this workforce track may gain experience in:

  • Inventory sorting

  • Product evaluation

  • Warehouse organization

  • Shipping and receiving

  • Online product listing

  • Photography and presentation

  • Packaging and fulfillment

  • Order management

  • Retail systems

  • Customer service

  • Logistics coordination

The liquidation warehouse is intentionally connected to the larger RISS online storefront infrastructure.

Products sold through the storefront may include:

  • Liquidation merchandise

  • Campus merchandise

  • RISS-branded products

  • Publications

  • Artwork

  • Resident-created products

  • Books and media

  • Creative works from incarcerated or formerly incarcerated artists and writers

The goal is not simply resale.

The operation is intended to expose residents to modern inventory and digital commerce systems while also helping support broader creative and publishing initiatives connected to the campus.
