The Expectations

Expectations define the culture of the campus.

Failure to meet expectations does not result in immediate disciplinary action.
Instead, it will lead to:

  • Conversations with staff

  • Opportunity for correction

  • Support in meeting expectations

Continued failure to meet expectations may result in removal from campus.

Removal Under Expectations

If removal occurs due to unmet expectations:

  • Staff will work to identify alternative housing

  • Employment may be retained if employment expectations are being met

  • Residents may reapply for campus housing after a minimum of six (6) months

Core Expectations

Residents are expected to:

  • Complete a minimum of 2 hours (preferably 4 hours) of volunteer activity each week

  • Be present for at least two (2) community Sundays per month

  • Participate in educational and self-enrichment opportunities

  • Maintain employment

Employment Exceptions

  • Residents unable to work, or receiving retirement or other qualifying income, may have the employment requirement waived

  • If physically able, these residents are expected to complete a minimum of 30 weekly volunteer or community service hours

Health and Personal Responsibility

Residents are expected to:

  • Maintain treatment and medication plans for diagnosed mental health conditions

  • Take full responsibility for their physical and mental health

Personal Standards

Residents are expected to:

  • Maintain appropriate grooming and personal cleanliness

  • Keep their living space in acceptable condition

  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness and function of the campus

Community Participation

Residents are expected to:

  • Actively participate in campus life

  • Show respect and courtesy to residents, staff, and volunteers

  • Engage in the shared community environment

Sunday Engagement

Residents are expected to:

  • Participate in a faith service of their choice on Sunday mornings

Residents who do not participate in religious services are expected to:

  • Participate in a self-enrichment activity of their choice during that same time period
