Communication, relationships, emotional intelligence, confidence, personal presentation, and social awareness all influence how we interact with employers, family members, friends, and the broader community. This curriculum area is designed to help residents strengthen those skills and build healthier, more productive connections with the people around them.

Many reentry programs focus primarily on employment. RISS believes long-term stability also requires communication skills, emotional awareness, healthy relationships, confidence, and the ability to successfully navigate both personal and professional environments.
